Alu gobi (dry)


Ingredients

2 cups cauliflower florets
2 big boiled potatoes
2-3 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Finely chopped coriander leaves

Cook the cauliflower florets for 3-5 mins in boiling water.

Heat oil, add cumin seeds. When it splutters add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and garam masala powder. Immediately add the cauliflower florets and potato (chopped lengthwise). Mix well and cook for 2 mins. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.

Serve with rotis/rice.

I make it slightly differently, but variations are always good.. you get a whole new dish by varying just a couple of ingredients :-)
