Peas and cheese rice



Ingredients

1 cup basmati rice
1 cup peas
2 tsp oil
2 cloves
Piece of cinnamon
1 bay leaf
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
1 onion chopped
2 green chillies slit into half
1/4 cup grated cheese

Soak the rice for 1/2 hour and cook with salt, cloves, cinnamon, green chillies and bay leaf till soft. Keep aside.

Heat oil, add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add chopped onions. Fry till it changes colours and add cooked peas. Add cooked rice and mix well without breaking it. Finally add grated cheese and mix well.

Garnish with more cheese and fried onions.
