Budding blogger: Champa

Budding blogger series introduces new bloggers (those blogging for less than a year) every wednesday and promotes their blogs through Simple Indian Food. If you are interested in being a part of this series, please mail me a short description about your blog, the cuisine you specialize and your objective/inspiration in blogging to easycrafts@gmail.com.

Champa from Stories from an Indian Kitchen is today's featured blogger- Read more about her

My name is Champa. If I tell someone that the first time I tried making something all by myself was at the age of 12, they probably won't believe me. I started spending a lot of time helping my mother when my oldest sister got married and moved out of our house. I was the sous chef to my mom till I left India about 11 years back. Just by watching her cook, I had learnt so much that when left alone in the kitchen, I had no problems being the main chef. After I migrated to U.S on H-4 visa, for about a year and a half was just a home maker. That is when my interest about baking, cooking north indian dishes started and that eventually turned international. I enjoy cooking/baking and to be honest, I feel I enjoy feeding people more.

I was motivated towards blogging by Vaishali of Holy Cow. I used to correspond with her before and she was the one who said with all the information I have on food, I should start blogging and that's when I started this blog. I feel if someone learns something by reading my blog, the work is well worth it. Plus, it is like a journal that I will be passing on to my kids.

Dear,
Is this the week of budding bloggers? Almost everyday I am seeing a post on someone and their blog. Well I know Champa, the Bangalore Baker. She is quite an accomplished baker isn't she? I love her blog and I am following her.
