Budding blogger: Deepa

Budding blogger series introduces new bloggers (those blogging for less than a year) every wednesday and promotes their blogs through Simple Indian Food. If you are interested in being a part of this series, please mail me a short description about your blog, the cuisine you specialize and your objective/inspiration in blogging to easycrafts@gmail.com.

This week's featured blogger is Deepa from Foodlyrics. Just a little more than 6 months into blogging, Deepa has already crossed 100 posts. Do check out some really interesting recipes on her blog..

Deepa says-

A pure Maharashtrian from heart and stomach ;) . I have stayed in the lovely city of Mumbai for all my life. Very much influenced by marathi food and cuisine. Being a pakka Mumbaikar love for street food and various kinds of recipes becomes a part of your life. Most of the recipes in my blog are basically maharashtrian or very much Indian. Baking is also one of my loved areas in cooking. Cakes, cookies and other preparation always tempt me to the fullest.

Couple of month’s back I was introduced to the world of blogging because my husband inspired me. Within a week or so I started my blog and regularly posted recipes. Soon I started to feel like Alice in Wonderland. Strangers became friends, allies in our own kitchen without being physically present. Help was closer even than ‘round the corner’. I have learned so much and love to give it back. This is my sincere effort to showcase what I know from the amazing world of cooking.

I would appreciate if you would visit, read and help me make my blog better.

  4. Thanks EC for sharing new bloggers with us. Deepa, it is so nice to get to know you better. I do read your blog regularly. I am fairly new to blogging too, (just six months). It's fun realizing who else is as new to it as I am.

Although I eat with my hands I was very surprised see something I had never seen before - Indians in my local restaurant eating with forks!!

    Forks or Fingers?
