Recipe source: Raaga of The Singing Chef
Ingredients
3/4 cup maida/all purpose flour
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Pinch of cooking soda
1/3 cup ghee
Cardamom powder a bit
Sieve the maida and soda and keep aside. Beat the sugar and ghee well and add in the cardamom powder. Add the sieved flour little by little and make a dough. Make small balls and flatten them. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes till done.
Cool well and serve.
looks good, I have baked this too. and we just cant stop eating them!!!!

ReplyDeleteAwesome !!! I cannot stop eating them !!! Next time, I think I will keep the ghee melted because initially, it was hard to form balls. Then I threw the entire mix into the microwave for 30 seconds. It helped loosen the ghee and then I was able to form balls. It made me remember making rava orundai. I would love to know whether I can use half ghee and half milk to lessen its calories. do you think it will lose its taste that way ???
