Ingredients
1 1/2 cups wheat flour
1/2 cup maida/all purpose flour
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil
Make a soft dough of the ingredients and keep covered for 1/2 hour. Make small balls and roll out into a thin chapati.Stretch it to make it as thin as possible.
Cook on an inverted wok till brown spots appear on both sides and fold it like a handkerchief.
Serve hot with any spicy side dish

Wow rumali roti looks so soft...i have never made it at home..must try for me..do you we can make it without using inverted wok?

Rumali roti looks very soft!!! My sis makes it with inverted wok I havent tried it making like this!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks all of you for your lovely comments..I had postponed this dish because of the inverted wok..I had only a non-stick pan and so had doubts about the effect on coating..Although I mentioned inverted wok to avoid confusion and kind of stick to the traditional way like most do, I cooked it without inverting the kadai like Asha had done and didnt find much of a difference..Maybe we can try with the normal aluminium kind of kadai if we have..Sorry, in case it was misleading
